PERFECT PRACTICE 4min 38sec

Only perfect practise makes perfect so it makes sense that a clear understanding of
Swingbuild
principles is important. This has to be the start of the journey forward.

Hitting a million balls over a couple of years can be a waste of time with little or no improvement to show for the hard work. Always remember that consistently correctly struck shots are the result of good technique. It’s easy to be lulled into thinking that progress is happening when we are standing bashing balls. Our hand eye coordination seeks a way to hit the ball and sometimes manages to balance the faults with one counteracting the other. Its then depressing to find that on the course this ‘new swing’ does not stand up. There is a correct technique that works and the closer we are to that model the better we will play day in day out.
This swing can be broken down to a few manageable bits and reassembled to form a proper golf swing which works with every club.
We are training to react and most of them to do nothing which is what we see with the top players, no physical effort. Even the magical swing of Tiger Woods is built around pure acceleration, NOT brute force. When seen in slow motion, it becomes apparent just how little he actually does. His power and strength gives him stability and control but he relies on accelerated speed for his length. His drives which are knocked off line are a result of shoulder muscles just trying to be involved, albeit only a small amount but nevertheless, destructive.
